Resurrection Sunday

The Emmanuel Experience Sunday April 8th

“He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; And with His stripes we are healed.” Isaiah 53:4-5

Emmanuel welcomes our friends and family to our annual observance of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, Sunday, April 8, 2012, at 7:45 an 10:45 AM. Please contact Brother Roy Bishop to make arrangements should you require transportation to the church. Our Parking Ministry will be on-post to direct you to convenient and secure parking. eKids! EMBC's Children's Church, has fun and spiritually enriching activities for children ages 4-12. Please contact Sister Tracy Epps for more information. Please Plan To Arrive Early. As you know, EMBC is growing by leaps and bounds. We are preparing for an overflow crowd and will make arrangements for EVERYONE to have a seat, but the earlier you arrive, the more efficiently you can be seated. Please, if possible, leave overcoats and other accessories locked in the trunk of your car. This conserves space and makes everyone more comfortable.  Ushers will be happy to assist you with any special needs, our Security Team will see to your safety and comfort, our worship ministry, led by Minister Gerald Clay, will provide unparalleled choir and chorale singing within an anointed music ministry, and our Senior Pastor, the Reverend Cleveland A. Thompson, will be bring the Word of God through the Proclamation of The Gospel. We look forward to seeing you! Invite a friend!

March is National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month

Colorectal cancer is cancer of the colon or rectum. It’s as common in women as it is in men. This year, over 143,360 people will be diagnosed with colorectal cancer and an estimated 51,690 will die of the disease. With certain types of screening, this cancer can be prevented by removing polyps (grape-like growths on the wall of the intestine) before they become cancerous. Several screening tests detect colorectal cancer early, when it can be more easily and successfully treated.. Click here to learn more.

Spirit of Cooperative Worship

This is essential as we receive visitors and new members at The E. Thanks for your help on last Sunday with not holding seats and using our coat racks. As we continue to grow, we will see more Sundays with increased worshippers and all are welcome!

An IMPORTANT Note About Parking

We can no longer use the parking lot on Pikes Peak and Spruce (southwest corner) because those businesses are open on Sundays. We have ample parking in the Electrician’s Union and former Social Services parking lots. Help us to remain good neighbors!

No parking is allowed in front of the driveway/roll-up door (near dumpster on south side-Pikes Peak Ave) and in front of the sliding gate (near Pastor’s parking slot on Walnut St.). It is critical that we maintain good working relationship with our neighbor so please do not park in the future in these two locations.

The Colorado Springs Police Department has notified EMBC that illegally parked vehicles will be ticketed. Cars parked too close to the corner not only block sidewalks but also introduce a safety hazard for the intersection. PLEASE park in the designated lots (Electrician’s Union and Health Department) and NOT in the restaurant’s lot!
